OK, i've just bought my new Spotcam Camera ... now what?
Setting up and configuring your camera is very easy. Just follow the steps below and you will be viewing video on your mobile phone in just a few minutes.
- You need to ensure you have GPRS configured on your mobile phone before trying to connect. If you can browse the internet on your phone then this should already be fully configured. If not, your mobile service provider should be able to set this up very easily for you.
- You may also want to ask your mobile service provider to add a data plan to your account.
- Call 1800SPOTCAM (1800776822) and the support team will set up your account and send you the IRIS Player via SMS (see next section).
- The support team will guide you through each step until you have the camera video displayed on your mobile phone.
- You can log into your account on this website to add more cameras or phones and manage your camera and account settings.
Accessing your camera is a simple process.
- Download the IRIS Player which is delivered via SMS with a link to download the player to your phone (takes about 15 seconds).
- Install the application.
- Navigate to where your phone installed the player and run it.
- Read and agree to the license agreement (press '1' to accept or '2' to reject)
- enter your 4 digit pin and press the 'ok' key on your phone
- on the main menu, select '1' to connect to the account server.
- on the 'cameras' page, you can select to connect to your online cameras or view recordings of any alarm events that have been saved to the account server by your cameras.
- Assuming you want to connect to your online cameras, select '1' which will then display all of your cameras that are currently online.
- Select the camera you wish to view.
- NOTE: Remember to properly disconnect the GPRS session between your phone and the camera by pressing the 'disconnect' key on your phone.

- You can authorise other users to view your camera.
- The cameras utilize a unique encryption system to prevents others from accessing your cameras without your permission.
